Emerging from online hip-hop communities such as SoundClick and RapFame, she developed her style through a self-taught process, building a grassroots following with over 20 early releases and thousands of streams. This foundation established a direct-to-audience approach that continues to define her career.
Since transitioning to major streaming platforms in 2023, ProjectPolly has released a series of independent singles, including “Dickcheese” (2023), “Lookin’ Boy (Explicit Version)” (2024), and a trio of 2025 releases—“Ashley (Ask Me),” “Friendly Fire (Radio Edit),” and “Wanderland” featuring Windsor artists J Reno and ZOT. Across all releases, she is credited as lyricist, composer, recording engineer, and mixing engineer, reinforcing a fully self-contained production model.
Her music balances aggressive rap cadences with melodic structure, often exploring themes of identity, resilience, and personal conflict through direct, unfiltered lyricism. The result is a sound that moves between intensity and vulnerability without conforming to a single genre framework.
Beyond recording, ProjectPolly is active in the Windsor music community as co-founder of Hip-Hop & Heels, an all-female showcase created to elevate women in hip-hop and adjacent genres.
In March 2026, she co-hosted an International Women’s Day edition of the event, featuring regional artists and raising over $1,500 for Hiatus House, a local women’s shelter.
Positioned within Canada’s independent music landscape, ProjectPolly represents a multidisciplinary artist combining technical self-sufficiency with a strong emphasis on authenticity and community engagement. Her work reflects a continued commitment to creative control, consistent output, and the development of a distinct, genre-blending voice.
